Job Responsibilities for the General Dentist:

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of oral health conditions using advanced dental procedures.
  • Perform routine exams, cleanings, restorative treatments, and preventive care.
  • Create and present individualized treatment plans to meet each patient's needs.
  • Cultivate positive patient relationships through empathy and open communication.
  • Collaborate closely with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff for seamless practice operations.
  • Follow clinical protocols, including infection control and safety guidelines, making referrals to specialists when necessary.
Minimum Requirements of the General Dentist:
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Active and unrestricted dental license.
  • Proficiency in routine dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, and restorative treatments.
  • Strong skills in treatment planning, patient education, and case presentation.
