Pharmacy Technician

Working directly under the supervision of the Pharmacist in Charge, this position is responsible for processing prescriptions for shipment, answering phones, and acting as a customer service representative as needed. This position is responsible for ensuring that prescriptions are accurately and timely filled.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

· Enter prescription information into system to be verified by the Pharmacist
· Prepare prescription labels and multi-dose trays with selected medication to be filled while ensuring accuracy of quantity
· Assist in preparation for delivery and billing
· Replenish all pharmacy supplies as needed
· Ensure the pharmacy is clean and stations are filled
· Provide customer service as needed including answering phones and confirming prescription accuracy

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

· Massachusetts Registered Technician License or Technician Trainee License in good standing
· Demonstrates computer acumen including Microsoft Office and data entry
· Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
· Certified Pharmacy Technician License preferred
· 2 years relevant pharmacy experience preferred
· Retail, long-term care or mail order experience preferred, but not required
· Ability to work a rotating schedule as determined by your direct Supervisor during hours of operations, Monday through Friday 8:00am to 7:00 pm.
· Must be able to work a weekend rotation as determined by Supervisor. (Saturday and Sunday) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
· Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
· Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position including standing or sitting for up to 8 hours per day
