Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with personnel and ancillary medical personnel. Ability to interact humanistically and professionally with a diverse group of patients, visitors, co-workers, and other medical center staff as part of a team. Skill in setting priorities, which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities. Working independently with minimal direction to achieve optimal results. Ability to perform more than one task simultaneously and respond positively to temporary changes in work schedule. Ability to provide excellent service, promote customer satisfaction, provide quality care, and create a positive, progressive, and friendly environment throughout the entire UCLA Healthcare Community, while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, and their families at all times (i.e., during and after work). Ability to perform the following activities using proper body mechanics. Stand and or walk 75% of the 12-hour work day. Sit, push, kneel, crouch and reach for extended periods of time Transfer a patient weighing a minimum of 100 lbs. using equipment or with assistance. Lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 35 lbs.
