Job Summary: The Fabrication Assembler serves as an essential part of successful industrial fabrication and requests for our industrial projects. This position is responsible for working with all members of the Industrial team to complete work orders efficiently with quality craftmanship . Our Fabrication Assemblers are responsible for ensuring a quality work for our customers and doing so by promoting safety at all times Company Overview: Moore's is a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls solutions company providing commercial and industrial services across Virginia and North Carolina. Responsibilities: Follow assembly procedures as required (detail oriented) Wire control panels per schematics Lay out, fit, set up, and position parts for sub-assemblies and assemblies as required Work with metal fabrication tools Check fabricated and purchased parts and material for deviation from required specifications Utilize assembly jigs and fixtures Locate, position, and move material and parts using a crane hoist and fork truck Load/unload truck Utilize lean work procedures Clear and consistent communication with Shop Foreman Consistently uphold Moore's safety protocols Complete other tasks as requested by Shop Foreman. Requirements: High school diploma/GED Tech school certificate of completion preferred 2 or more years of electrical experience Ability to read schematics Strong mathematical and mechanical skills Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and bills of material for standard and customer parts and products Proficient with metal fabrication tools including, but no limited to drill press, metal brake and shear, iron worker, plasma cutter, grinder, sanders, polishers, etc. Self-motivated with the ability to work individually with a teamwork mindset Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task Highly analytical and detail-oriented Ability to lift as much as 85 pounds We Offer: Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance Coverage begins on the first calendar day of the month following date of hire.
