At Diverzify, our Director of Finance will oversee Strategy, Vision and Leadership, Team Development, and Operations for the finance department:

Strategy, Vision, and Leadership

  • Partner with operational leadership on financial results, budgeting, cash management, and policy matters.
  • Become deeply enmeshed in the operations such that as Finance Director can spot trends, drive operational and financial metric improvements and impart guidance to the operational teams.
  • Assist the VP of Finance in providing the Diverzify financial team with timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Actively participate in the cash collection and disbursement processes.
  • Insure that defined corporate standard operating procedures are adhered to and identify/fill gaps in processes.
  • Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CFO, Controller and operational leadership informed of all critical issues.
Team Development/Leadership
  • Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the finance functions within your sites.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
Operations
  • Maintain an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures consistent with the Company's SOPs.
  • Month end close to include journal entries, analysis, and review.
  • Ensure that your sites are adhering to the strategic plan.
Job Requirements:
  • Business or Accounting degree.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a mid-management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization
  • Proven experience within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of success in facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask.
  • Self-reliant and results-oriented.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and administration initiatives.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.
  • Passion for Diverzify's mission.
  • Ability to travel 10%-15% of the time.
  • Expertise using Microsoft Excel (strong background in PivotTables and VLOOKUP functions using large sets of data). An Excel examination will be required for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Business Administration
  • CPA
  • Preferably on Pacific Standard Time (PST) as this role supports mostly the West Coast book of business, however, we are open to candidates from anywhere to work remotely.
