Job Title: Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory

Job Duration: 12 Months

Shift: Day, 4 x 10-hour shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Experience: Preferred, two years in Cardiology/Cath Lab

License: Registered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) required within 18 months of hire

Certifications:
- BLS (CPR) - American Heart Association
- ACLS certification - American Heart Association
- Fluoroscopy Certification

Must-Have:
- Registered ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Job Description:

- Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Assist physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acting as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions.
- Operate imaging equipment and monitor/document procedure images and events from the control room.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and set expectations.
- Instruct patients and families on pre- and post-procedure physical conditions.
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the unit and manage appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.
- Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards and accurately document productivity information.
- Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for improvement to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions to address these issues.
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization and abide by service behavior standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
