PICC Nurse

Overview As our PICC Nurse at CHI St. Vincent North, you will help patients with vascular access needs by providing skilled insertion and management of PICC lines, ensuring they receive the care they need for recovery. Every day you will assess, insert, and maintain PICC lines. You will be expected to evaluate patient outcomes, provide education to patients and staff, and troubleshoot issues related to vascular access. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid understanding of vascular access, experience in acute care or infusion therapy, and a commitment to quality patient care. Responsibilities Assess and evaluate vascular access for patients, ensuring proper care and outcomes. Insert and manage PICC lines, providing care and troubleshooting as needed. Educate patients, families, and staff on PICC line care and infection prevention. Document patient care thoroughly, ensuring compliance with policy and reporting to health providers. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, supporting a team-based approach to enhancing care. We are offering a sign on bonus up to $25,000 to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Qualifications Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program college, or university 2 years of professional experience in inpatient acute care or outpatient infusion therapy.
