About The Role

This Position will be based in the Wilsonville, Oregon office and will be reporting to the Engineering Manager.

This position is responsible for mechanical design of equipment sold by tna. The position will be responsible for modifying existing product designs and creating new product designs. Design of equipment will require creating 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings. The position will support projects and sales with 2D & 3D layouts of tna machines in customer factories. The position will support field service by providing technical knowledge as needed.

Key responsibilities

  • Design parts for sheet metal, machined metal and plastic. Design weldments and assemblies of parts.
  • Apply engineering knowledge and calculations to ensure long-term machine performance.
  • Create new and modified machine designs using tna standard 3D CAD software and processes.
  • Create manufacturing drawings for all parts, weldments, and assemblies. Ensure all drawings and BOMs are accurately stored for manufacturing functions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with engineering and manufacturing employees to incorporate feedback into future designs.
  • Travel as needed to customer locations globally to support product development projects. (1-2 trips / year)
  • Support manufacturing, field service, and customers with quick, accurate resolutions to technical issues raised.

Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, with at least 10 years work history.
Desired Knowledge and Skills
  • Minimum 3 years in engineering product design & development.
  • Industrial machine design preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
