Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Job Specialty: Respiratory Medicine Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7P-7A, 12-night schedule Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2+ years License: Current Respiratory Therapy License Certifications: - BLS- ACLS (required for adults)- For NICU/PICU/Peds: BLS, NRP (required), PALS (preferred) Must-Have: - Experience with critical care, airway and ventilator management- ABG puncture and analysis- Experience with non-invasive ventilation, code blue, and rapid response- Inhaled medication administration Job Description: - Work within a very critical care-focused and protocol-driven respiratory therapy team- Operate a range of equipment including Servo U, Servo I, Hamilton T1, Trilogy, V60, V30, EV300- Interact with different patient types, including those with COPD, CHF, Cystic Fibrosis, ARDS, trauma, pneumonia, lung cancer, stroke, ALS, GBS, COVID-19, RSV- Opportunity to support various treatment areas including adult ICUs, cardiac critical care unit, emergency department, intermediate care unit, and general medical floors- Perform duties with a focus on adult care unless specified for NICU/PICU/Peds- Participate in a 1 general orientation shift and additional shifts for each unit trained (generally 4-5 shifts)- Work every other weekend with voluntary on-call duties- Work within holiday expectations as assigned unless previously requested time off is approved- Charting system used is Cerner- Flexibility to float to other trained units Note: Professional and acceptable scrub colors or patterns are required, and orientation includes one shift with an RT Educator and additional shifts as necessary.
