Positions at the Water Boards may be eligible for telework with in-person attendance based on the operational needs of the position.
This is a Limited Term (LT) position and may be extended up to 24 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. If becoming permanent, the selected candidate must have eligibility for a permanent appointment at the time of the LT appointment or at the time of the conversion.
The State Water Resources Control Board's Division of Water Rights (Division) has an opening for a Staff Services Analyst in the Reporting and Quality Assurance Unit. This unit is responsible for collecting and maintaining Water Rights data stored in the Electronic Water Rights Information Management System (eWRIMS) database and Report Management System (RMS). The position is located at 1001 I Street, 14th Floor, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations and other public transportation. This position offers a hybrid telework option, allowing staff to telework up to 3 days per week.

Experience reviewing and processing forms and applications. Proficiency in accurately entering data into a database. Experience in researching information from databases and/or the internet. Ability to follow directions, evaluate established procedures, and make suggestions for improved processes. Exceptional customer service skills on the phone, in person, and via written correspondence. Willingness and ability to conduct training on-the-job or in a classroom setting.
