AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: The Datacenter Graphics and Accelerated Computing (DCGPU) organization is excited to hire a tier leadership role. Individual will be responsible for a 40-person organization with 3 managers. Role encompasses handling all aspects of power attainment, performance, bounding box, profiling, thermal validation. Individual should be familiar with all aspects of being able to achieve key vf curves, working with manufacturing/slt teams on required work to release a quality GPU product. Communication is key across different time zones and organizations within AMD. Individual will be required to drive meetings on Frequence/Power/Voltage attainment on not only provide on-going updates but work with executives on actions/issues. THE PERSON: Experienced, self-motivated individual that has experience in all aspects of Power Attainment, Profiling, Bounding Box, and Performance. Individual should have people management expertise and provide guidance to the team and managers within the organization. Work well with other organizations on assuring timely action on needs and requirements of delivery and provide active communication to executives in multiple forums weekly. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a high-performance power/performance/attainment team. Active knowledge and background in handling the requirements to deliver a product with specific frequence, voltage, power settings. Clear / concise communication including at an executive level. Program Management skill to provide input for resource planning, tracking to aggressive schedules and managing the work required to deliver. Provide leadership input/recommendations as well be a change agent for improvements / help driver organizational initiatives. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE : Experience in managing SOC/System level validation teams with particular focus on attainment/profiling required for a GPU SOC product. Ability to work cross time zones and with differing organizations to get delivery of requirements and achieve aggressive schedules. Communication skills are a key component due to person’s responsibility of providing input at executive level and provide leadership to not only managers within the organization but key technical leaders. Experience in driving Program level PPA through a product cycle would be. Solid years of experience as a manager within a Power/Profiling/Bounding Box of an SOC preferred. Co-Work with external organizations at a level of expertise to provide input/guidance/advice. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on working key issues/concerns/roadblocks. Hands-on experience in managing to a specific SOC frequency/voltage attainment. Leadership and Communication skills are mandatory as individual will be in presenting in executive forums. Ability to map out schedules, needs, and recruit necessary skills.
