Community Benefits Coordinator

The Community Benefits Coordinator provides support to the homes, managers, and individuals of the CRS/CLA (Continuous Residential Supports/Community Living Arrangement). This position will provide individualized benefit administrative support for said individuals. Responsibilities include administering and maintaining the individual's personal/case/house files, individual financial records, banking requirements, and other duties as assigned/applicable for our CRS/CLA Individuals. The Program Coordinator works closely with Ädelbrook's Finance Department, DDS, DSS, and other government agencies that provide funding to our individuals. This is a 40 hour, Full-Time, Non-Exempt, and Non-Essential position. The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Adult Community Services and will be on-call as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completes and maintains applications for all CRS/CLA Individuals concerning DSS, Social Security, rent subsidy and other benefit programs and financial accounts as required. This includes checking accounts, ABLE NOW Savings accounts, Pre-Needs Burial arrangements, and irrevocable funds.
- Has invoicing and fiduciary responsibility for all benefit program reimbursements as it applies to CRS/CLA Individuals. These records are subject to external auditing.
- Maintains and archives CRS/CLA Individuals finance in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Monitors individuals account balances, fulfills petty cash requests, and works with the house manager to avoid over asset situations
- Ensures the agency is reimbursed appropriately for the Individuals personal spending on the agency's credit card monthly
- Responsible for paying all invoices and other personal needs of CRS/CLA Individuals
- Submits paystubs for Individuals who receive paychecks to SSA as applicable
- Attends CRS/CLA team meetings and IDTs
- Compiles and submits Annual IP finance report by the 1st of the IP month
- Completes monthly audits of all CRS/CLA finance books (Petty Cash/Gift/EBT Cards)
- Back up to Assistant Director: DDS 1x Billing requests for reimbursement
- Completes monthly audits of receipts to ensure expenditures are appropriate and in accordance with house/client needs
- Provides oversight/management of the per diem pool by ensuring that per diems are up to date with trainings, working minimal monthly required hours by the agency, and not more than 29.5 per week
- Provides ongoing training assistance and mentorship to CRS House Managers around completion of deliverables, including use of the electronic health record systems
- Obtains and maintains DDS Medication Certification. Pours meds as needed
- Shares added responsibilities when a managerial vacancy occurs
- Performs administrative duties as designated by the Director of Adult Community Services
Education, Experience, and Other Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a High School Diploma and 2 years of related field experience, preferably having a working knowledge of the populations being served. Sixty college credits, an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Must have excellent organizational skills and an ability to complete project work, as well as monitor and improve administrative process of programs and support functions. Experience with accounting software, Microsoft Excel and work processing is highly desirable. Outstanding communication skills, problem solving approach to conflicts and the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships within and outside the agency is vital.
Must participate in and successfully complete the agency's comprehensive orientation program upon initial hire. Must have the willingness to abide by all agency policies and procedures. Upon hiring, health screening, including a drug screen, DMV, and a criminal history check will be conducted at the agency's expense.
