The EDI Specialist is responsible for:

  • Building, testing and troubleshooting new and existing EDI platforms
  • Creating, analyzing and validating data files using a case management software application along with Microsoft Excel
  • Building, testing and troubleshooting new and existing FTP connections between client data sites and our software applications
  • Completing daily EDI production work including but not limited to:
  • - Uploading and downloading from FTP sites and websites
  • - Importing and exporting data files in our case management software
  • - Troubleshooting errors and data anomalies
  • Attending client and vendor meetings and work sessions for EDI project work
Qualified candidates must:
  • Prior experience with EDI applications
  • Prior experience with data/document transactional programming, translation and mapping
  • Be familiar with FTP sites (uploading and downloading)
  • Be able to read and understand EDI data specifications
  • Be able to learn new tasks quickly without having written instructions
  • Be detail-oriented and organized
  • Have experience troubleshooting
  • Have the ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Possess the ability to handle high work volume efficiently
  • Be nimble and able to quickly move between tasks
  • Be capable of handling highly confidential matters and documents with discretion
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have advanced Excel knowledge including vLookup functions and familiarity with using macros
  • Experience writing SQL statements and using SSMS
  • Have strong problem solving skills
Education/Training/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED and some college
  • Prior EDI experience
  • Prior experience using SQL or similar programming languages
  • Advanced data analytic and Microsoft Excel skills
