About the job AWS DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Set automation standards for testing/production environments. Support migration of applications to the cloud.

- Create scalable, high-performance, and fault-tolerant systems. Solve complex DevOps issues.

- Automate cloud infrastructure creation (AWS, Azure).

- Design and implement security governance for applications and infrastructure.

- Automate pipelines, environments, and monitoring systems. Build resilient systems and repeatable processes.

- Lead operational support activities, troubleshoot, and respond to issues.

- Develop and deploy code/assets in an Agile (Scrum) environment.

- Design fault-tolerant architecture for all applications.

Expertise

- Ensure thriving internal/external customers.

- Strong communication and persuasion skills.

- Understand actions' local/global impacts. Improve business processes.

- Familiar with IT functions, cloud technologies, and current infrastructure trends.

- Translate strategic imperatives into actions.

- Streamline work and develop new ideas.

- Operate effectively in a global IT organization.

- Take initiative and hold others accountable.

- Critical thinking and strong analytical abilities.

- Engage/manage suppliers for implementation and support.

Skills

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

- Minimum 8 years of professional experience.

- Technical Proficiency:

- Deployment/configuration (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins, Ansible).

- Containerization/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).

- Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Additional tools (e.g., Helm, Artifactory, SonarQube).

- Source control (e.g., Git, Subversion).

- Experience with virtual environments, Windows, Unix.

- Proficient in languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Bash).

- Excellent time-management, teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.

- Effectively analyze data and provide recommendations.
