Dental Assistant/EDDA (Full-Time)

We're searching for a full-time DA or EDDA to provide support to our dentist's office. You'll be responsible for supporting our dental staff, helping prep for examinations and procedures, and ensuring our patients leave our practice with a smile. Responsibilities

• Ensure patient's comfort during procedures
• Preparing operatories for treatment
• Sterilizing instruments
• Directly assist the dentist during procedures using the four-handed dentistry technique
• Take x-rays and intraoral photos
• Accurately and efficiently treatment plan based on doctor's diagnosis
• Scheduling patients
• Providing patient education and post-operative instruction
• Dental charting and coding
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
• Perform lab duties such as pouring models, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns
• Ordering supplies and maintaining budgets
• Administrative tasks such as answering phones, calling labs, and patient follow-up calls
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment
• Accurately document and maintain Patient Health Information
• Collaboration with team-members

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Radiology Certification required
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Proficiency in dental patient management software such as Open Dental preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Adaptability
