About the Role

As a Principal Data Scientist, you will be a key member of the LNIP Technology Team. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the strategic vision of Data Science and Machine Learning initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You will lead development teams in research, design, and software development projects, providing direct input to plans, schedules, and methodologies

Requirements
  • Experience with domain expertise to capture current and likely market trends in discipline
  • Experience with a strong attitude to possesses a holistic overview of adjacent disciplines, industries and domain
  • Experience Evaluating and recommending ML tools, platforms, and frameworks.
  • Assessing the risks associated with AI implementation, including bias, security, and compliance
  • Strong aptitude to set the strategy and team direction; clear vision for Data Science
  • Experience as the SME in Data Science
  • Multiple years of experience managing larger technical teams (direct or indirect)
  • Experiencing practices in the development and use of core processes
  • Explores new best practices in non-standard coding languages
  • Expert in relevant Data Science and/or Statistical frameworks
  • Builds best-practices around the usage of Data Science and/or Statistical frameworks
  • Experience Mentoring others in building models and using Data Science frameworks
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced data analytics and machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities and provide actionable insights.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Design and execute experiments to validate hypotheses and optimize model performance.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations and presentations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of data science innovation.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in data management, data governance, and data quality.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
