This Contract-to-Hire role as a Hybrid Oracle EPM Reporting Analyst in Chicago, IL will be responsible for analyzing the complex business problems being addressed by product, member, provider, regulatory and enterprise strategies, and new business cases and developing solutions for clients. The principal will have hands on development proficiency in reporting and analytics within the enterprise version of Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead experiences in EPM with a focus on custom REPORTING on Narrative reporting, PBCS (planning), PCMS, Fin Consolidation & Close, Account Reconciliation, Enterprise Data Management (EDM)
  • Will be responsible for designing reports using Reports (previously financial reporting), Narrative Reporting (management + Packages), SmartView (with VB excel), Dashboards (Account Reconciliation & FCCS).
  • This role requires not only technical expertise but also strategic acumen to drive the EPM reporting capabilities within the organization, including providing guidance and recommendations to senior management around industry trends and new technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security, business & IT support to identify and deliver self-service & custom reporting solutions where feasible to empower end-users.
  • Competency to plan & manage simultaneously multiple initiatives &/or reports of varying priority.
  • Design efficient & scalable reporting solutions. Offer technical direction and expertise, adhering to reporting and technology best practices.
  • Create and maintain meticulous design documents related to reporting deliverables.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports within the Oracle EPM & ERP SaaS Cloud.
  • Self-service first mindset, else design standardized dynamic reports where possible to meet evolving needs.
  • Streamline reporting delivery and usage, seeking opportunities for simplification & reduction in maintenance costs.
  • Implement team resiliency by training team members on EPM reporting capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 6 years consulting and/or industry experience.
  • Anticipates internal and or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements
  • Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business
  • Contributes to the development of functional strategy
  • Leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives
  • Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirements.
  • Knowledge to assist business areas in defining their information strategy.
  • Experience using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
  • Experience developing business cases and related financial literacy to support cases, and ability to write business cases demonstrating future direction for leveraging information in the member, provider, product, and regulatory domains.
  • Gather and document business requirements in support of information-related strategies
  • Solve complex problems; take a new perspective using existing solutions
  • Knowledge of various software development processes, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, and development, agile methodologies, and tools and technologies.
  • Create and conduct presentations to inform and influence, with the ability to think laterally and creatively.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience interacting successfully with management and staff across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) for written communication and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience working in a role which requires one of more of the following: business development, business analyst, innovation management, etc OR 12 years of experience working in a role which requires one of more of the following: business development, business analyst, innovation management. Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Math, Economics, or Finance
  • Experience in Fusion ERP analytics (FAW), FRS (ERP), BI Publisher (ERP) is a plus
  • Experience in Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI or other analytics tools is a plus
  • Experience in Free Form/Groovy is a plus
  • Experience in finance and healthcare industry.
