Responsibilities

We are looking for a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Asheville Specialty Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients, perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, and monitor patients on mechanical ventilation. Your role is vital in providing exceptional patient care and support.

  • Perform patient assessments, diagnostic procedures, and administer respiratory care therapies
  • Support department by providing care to patients requiring respiratory support
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic response and intervene as needed
  • Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations
Qualifications
  • Required: Associates Degree in Respiratory Care or completion of Respiratory Care Program Accredited by CoARC, Registered by NBRC, Current North Carolina License, Current BCLS
  • Preferred: ACLS, PALS, NRP certification and additional years of experience
