RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete assessment of patients within the scope of practice.

  • Understands etiology of types of wounds including surgical, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcer, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers, and traumatic wounds.

  • Recommends appropriate wound care management strategies' by collaborating with Physicians and staff.

  • Assists Physician during debridement and/or minor amputations.

  • Evaluates patient response to treatment.

  • Has basic understanding of wound care products and advanced treatment modalities including Coban 2, regenerative medicine products and such other related products.

  • Perform physical, psychological, and cultural nursing needs of patient.

  • Provides ongoing reassessments in conjunction with the primary nurse or physician of patients.

  • Communicate with the appropriate team members

  • Provides patient and family education regarding hyperbaric oxygen therapy and wound care needs as well as unit and procedural orientation.

  • Assists the hyperbaric physician in initiating a plan of care based on the HBO diagnosis and medical diagnosis.

  • Follows universal precautions and safe infection control.

  • Knowledge of Regulatory Standards as per Hospital. (JCAHO, OSHA, Corporate Compliance, HIPPA, and Risk Management).

  • Commited to Serice excellence

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Nursing staff with current state license in good standing.

  • BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred.

  • Wound care experience, Required. Wound Care Certification, Preferred

Demonstrates working knowledge of various EMR (ALLSCRIPTS, EPIC, CERNER, etc..)

The salary range for this position is $65-$65/hour
