Assembler / Entry Level Mechanic
Duration: 14+ months contract with possibility of extension and FTE
Location: 28200 Plymouth Rd. Livonia, MI 48150
Work hours : 6am - 2:30 pm (OT as needed) Mon - Fri (Saturdays as needed)

Position Description:
  • This position is located within our Flexible Assembly Operation at our Livonia, MI facility.
  • Roush Flexible Assembly provides assembly services to many of the leading-edge companies in the automotive industry.
  • Products we produce for our customers consist of Off-Road tactical military vehicles, self-driving autonomous vehicles & electric vehicles just to name a few.
  • These low volume, highly technical projects make for a very exciting work environment where you learn cutting edge technology on a regular basis.
  • Full time / direct hire employment opportunities to the right candidates.

Qualifications
  • 6 months of recent hands-on Automotive Assembly experience or equivalent schooling (i.e., H.S. Auto Shop / Trade School)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must understand automotive systems.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Must be able to use manual tools and power equipment safely.
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Must have good attention to detail.
  • Must possess the skills to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and willing to learn.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must have reliable attendance and be willing to work overtime/weekends.
  • Must have basic tools.

Preferred Skills
  • Previous mechanic or co-op experience preferred.
  • Automotive electrical systems experience a plus
