Job Title: Phlebotomist Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Phlebotomist to perform daily phlebotomy activities accurately and on time at our Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-office Phlebotomy (IOP). The successful candidate will interact with clients, patients, and other personnel in a courteous manner, confidently handle both forensic and clinical specimen collection, and process duties following established practices and procedures. Responsibilities include greeting customers properly, collecting specimens as per procedures, explaining the collection processes, disposing of biohazard materials safely, completing requisitions accurately, entering data into the computer, researching test/client information, handling specimens correctly, maintaining records, and performing basic clerical duties. The candidate will also ensure adherence to our dress code and safety policies, answer phone calls professionally, and assist in maintaining a positive work environment. Hard Skills Phlebotomy Venipuncture Data entry Specimen handling Soft Skills Attention to detail Professional communication Customer service Team cooperation Multitasking Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Blacksburg, Virginia. Work Environment The work environment is within an OBGYN office with hours from 8-5 pm, including a lunch break from 12-1 pm.
