POSITION: Nurse-Home Visitor DUTIES: Administering medications: RNs measure, prepare, and administer medications as prescribed, including IV infusions. They may also teach patients and their families how to self-administer IV medications. Monitoring vital signs: RNs take and track vital signs and respond based on the patient's provider's parameters. Maintaining health records: RNs gather information about a patient's medical history, including allergies, medications, surgeries, and past diagnoses. They use this information to ensure proper treatment. Educating patients and caretakers: RNs teach patients and their families how to care for the patient, including rehabilitation and therapeutic care. Providing wound care: RNs provide wound care as needed. Providing catheter care: RNs provide catheter care. Ensuring patient is fed and bathed: RNs help ensure patients are fed and bathed. Ensuring bedding is clean: RNs ensure bedding is clean. Tracking and ordering supplies: RNs track and order supplies. REQUIREMENTS: Registered nurse, Bachelor's Degree required, may be working to attain BSN OB and/or Pediatric nursing experience helpful Current Colorado nursing license OTHER REQUIREMENTS: A valid driver's license Pass a background check PREFERRED SKILLS: Social Perceptiveness Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
