Salary range: $24.00 - $28.00 / hour

The IT Support Specialist (ITSS) will be knowledgeable in Microsoft 365 environments to support our company's end-users and help execute IT improvement projects. The ITSS will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving assistance for our company's hybrid IT environment. They will work closely with our IT team, healthcare providers, and other departments to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and provide excellent customer service to our end-users while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. The IT Support Specialist will have a positive impact by helping our providers focus on helping patients without worrying about IT issues. This person will support CHP's mission, vision, and values and will adhere to compliance protocols as well as CHP's policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

IT Support Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all IT projects, managing stakeholders, tasks, deadlines, measurables, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 technical issues and escalate support to our IT contractors when appropriate.
  • Increase staff efficiency by providing end-users with training and support for the best use of Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, etc.)
  • Help manage and monitor network access to improve network security and ePHI.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for IT improvements.
  • Document solutions to recurring issues, troubleshooting steps, and procedures for users and the IT team.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to end-users.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all IT activities.
  • Assist with inventory management of CHP IT assets.
Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and related tools for account management, group policy, security, and authentication protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot or elevate technical issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong customer support skills and the ability to explain technical terms to non-technical staff.

Experience:
  • 1-2 years of IT support experience focusing on Microsoft 365 networking, and related technologies.
Education and Training:
  • Associate's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
License/Certification:
  • MS365 certifications are a plus.
