Senior Transportation Engineer

A transportation professional with expertise in roadway/highway geometric design, drainage, transportation planning, and traffic engineering/corridor studies is sought to lead our surface transportation projects in Northern Illinois.

This role offers the opportunity to apply knowledge of best practices in transportation engineering to drive project success and contribute to the development of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee conventional and complex transportation projects from conception to completion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project strategies and ensure timely delivery
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 4-10 years of experience in highway engineering with a focus on roadway/highway geometric design, drainage, transportation planning, and traffic engineering/corridor studies
  • Registered Professional Engineer in any state; licensure in Illinois to be obtained within one year
  • Proven project leadership skills and proficiency in Microstation, Geopak, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D software packages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and interact with various stakeholders located in northern Illinois and other offices
