ABOUT MIND BODY OPTIMIZATION:

Mind Body Optimization is looking to change the way people seek and engage outpatient mental health treatment. We are committed to evaluating and addressing client's unique needs in order for them to achieve their fullest potential. Our staff will consist of medical and clinical professionals that will work collaboratively to assist our clients. Our services include medication management, individual therapy, family therapy, couples counseling, group therapy, and much more

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Program Therapist is a mental health professional responsible for providing therapeutic services within a specific program. They work with individuals who may be struggling with various mental health issues, behavioral challenges, or substance abuse problems. Program Therapists design and implement treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, aiming to promote emotional and psychological well-being, foster personal growth, and facilitate positive behavioral changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work. At minimum, a provisionally licensed or temporarily licensed clinician (LPC-Temp, LMSW, LMFT-A).

Experience: Two (2) years' behavioral health experience, preferred.

Additional Requirements: A thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DHS, State Regulations, and Federal Regulatory Standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, emotional well-being, and behavioral patterns.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to gather relevant information and develop a holistic understanding of clients' needs.
  • Use standardized assessment tools, interviews, and observation to gather pertinent data for treatment planning.

Treatment Planning and Implementation:

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, clinical judgment, and evidence based practices.
  • Design therapeutic interventions aimed at addressing clients' specific issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, or substance abuse.
  • Implement therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and motivational interviewing.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions to address clients' emotional, relational, and behavioral concerns. Individual and family therapy sessions will be offered at the recommendation of the treatment team.

Monitoring and Progress Tracking:

  • Regularly monitor clients' progress towards treatment goals, adjusting interventions as needed to promote positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and support staff to ensure coordinated care and continuity of services.

Crisis Intervention and Support:

  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms, emotional distress, or behavioral crises.
  • Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
  • Coordinate with emergency services, psychiatric hospitals, and other community resources as needed for higher levels of care.

Education and Advocacy:

  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, coping skills, and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the treatment program and broader community settings.
  • Participate in outreach activities, workshops, and educational events to raise awareness about mental health issues and reduce stigma.
