Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Digital DevOps, the DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in driving innovation and growth for the Banking Solutions business. With a focus on digital software pipelines and deployments, you will collaborate closely with product leaders, and other stakeholders to align product milestones and deliver innovative digital applications and experiences. In this role, the candidate will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the company's digital transformation journey, and drive customer-centric innovation. Specifically, the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the following:
• Design and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions for app deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization across multiple platforms (iOS and Android).
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps tools, processes, and best practices into the app development lifecycle, from code commits to production deployments.
• Define and enforce app security practices, including code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and secure configurations for platforms and cloud services.
• Implement and manage cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Private Cloud) for app hosting, data storage, and backend services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Lead the adoption of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for app environments, enabling consistent deployment and orchestration across development, testing, and production stages.
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics, logs, and analytics for apps, providing insights for continuous improvement in app quality, user experience, and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with QA teams to automate app testing processes, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, within CI/CD pipelines for faster feedback and quality assurance.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in app DevOps, and evaluate their applicability to improve development processes and infrastructure.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including development teams, product managers, and IT operations, to align DevOps initiatives with business goals, timelines, and priorities.

Professional Qualifications:
• Strong experience in implementing DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure management specifically for app development environments.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps, with a focus on app build, test, and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of app development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Spring, Node) and experience in integrating DevOps tools and processes into these environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Private Cloud, including services related to app hosting, data storage, serverless computing, and monitoring.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for managing app deployments at scale.
• Understanding of app security best practices, encryption standards, and secure coding guidelines for iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience in implementing security scans, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines for apps.
• Knowledge of app authentication mechanisms, API security, and data protection requirements in accordance with industry standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks related to infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with app testing automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Appium, XCTest, Espresso, Selenium) and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to set up and manage monitoring, logging, and analytics solutions for apps, utilizing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or native cloud monitoring services.
• Proven track record of leading DevOps initiatives, managing infrastructure projects, and driving continuous improvement in development processes and tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, QA engineers, product managers, and IT operations.
• Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with industry trends, attending conferences, and participating in relevant training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Description: Summary: Responsible for providing high-level consulting services to clients and preparing programming assignments. Designs, plans and supervises implementation of complex, large-scale system projects. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a complex, large-scale computer system. Assists in supervising the daily activities of the project team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides high-level consulting services to client personnel (e.g., advises client on complex issues involving new regulation, technology or system functionality; evaluates various technical and business solutions and makes recommendations to client; troubleshoots errors and inefficiencies related to the application(s) and related processes; advises client on technical direction and specific business issues).
• Maintains project estimates and project management timelines for multiple major projects.
• Verifies completeness and accuracy of specifications for multiple major projects to be estimated (e.g., report changes, control file changes, file fixes).
• Determines programming requirements for multiple major projects (e.g., product updates, conversions).
• Researches and designs system modules, program enhancements and modifications to existing programs or modules.
• Creates documents to communicate complex technical information to audiences of all levels.
• Conducts research and documents findings and recommendations by using analytical problem solving.
• Provides client support, training, testing and vendor relations.
• Develops technical designs that will meet system objectives and minimize the impact on operations.
• Maintains and develops on-line and batch application programs.
• Codes programs that interface with multiple applications.
• Trains new employees on all aspects of an application or system product.
• Develops complex procedural language routines.
• Provides applications development and support and utilizes troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.
• Monitors, measures, and optimizes individual and combined utilization of hardware, software, and telecommunications components.
• Responsible for software installation and maintenance. May act as project leader.
• Develops and implements a disaster recovery plan.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

FIS Digital One encompasses several integrated banking modules that will deliver an omni- channel banking experience for our customers and their employees, with a unified user experience and real-time access to customer, account and transactional data across all banking channels.
What you will be doing
We have several needs for API developers working in Java/Spring environments for our expanding modernization efforts. We are hoping to hire candidates from a variety of experience levels from entry level to senior in order to diversify our team and bring various ideas to the table.
• Provide application software development services and technical support across a suite of financial software products
• Develop program logic for new applications or analyze and modify logic in existing applications
• Code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain software applications
• Design and develop APIs using with Java & Spring.
• Maintain, test and integrate application components.
• Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code
• Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented
• Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product designs
• Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation
• Suggest technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems
• Complete project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations
• Participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations
• Provide leadership and/or guidance to other technical professionals

What you bring:
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
• Previous work experience with Spring framework
• Knowledge of RESTful API services
• Experience in supporting and/or implementing complex integration projects.
• Knowledge of MongoDB, Apache Kafka, and Kubernetes
• Working experience in Agile framework
• In-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Experience in using version control systems like SVN or Bit Bucket
