What You Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, including PLC programming, robotics, and HMI development.
  • Proficiency in PLC platforms (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) and robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of sensors, actuators, motion control systems, and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to implement data-driven solutions.
What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Automation Engineer will design, implement, and optimize automated systems, playing a pivotal role in improving production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation into existing processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

System Design & Implementation:

  • Develop and program PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems for new and existing production lines.
  • Design automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure equipment meets production and quality standards.
Process Optimization & Troubleshooting:

  • Analyze and identify automation opportunities to streamline operations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions for system issues.
  • Monitor automated systems and adjust to maintain optimal performance.
Project Management:

  • Lead automation projects from concept to implementation, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, timelines, and documentation.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new automated systems.
Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including electrical schematics, software programs, and system manuals.
  • Ensure all automated systems comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Provide training to production and maintenance staff on troubleshooting and proper system use.
Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work with production, quality, and maintenance teams to align automation strategies with operational goals.
  • Serve as a technical resource for automation-related inquiries and improvements.
5S & Lean Manufacturing:

  • Actively participate in 5S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve workplace organization and efficiency.
  • Drive safety, waste reduction, and production optimization through automation.
