Job Summary:

We seek a dedicated Cyber Security Engineer to engage in testing innovative software and hardware baselines for PCTE. Responsibilities Include:
- Enterprise Development: Assist in designing and creating cyber range training test cases, scenarios, and procedures that leverage various software applications and tools.
- Testing: Execute unit testing, configuration item, and system level tests, while supporting verification/validation testing as needed. Additionally, aid Range Engineers in constructing and evaluating new content.
- Exercise Simulation: Conduct testing of existing training content to confirm accessibility on demand, verify accuracy of training materials, and ensure all necessary resources function correctly.
- Training Validation: Support routine validation of training content, confirming that all listed cyber security tools operate as intended.
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate closely with the customer, development staff, and systems engineers to gain a full understanding of system requirements and software implementation.
- Network Development: Engage in building and supporting virtualized networks and workstations as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited institution, accompanied by a minimum of two (2) years of relevant testing experience. Equivalent military or work experience may substitute for the degree.
- Certification Requirement: CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification).
- Test Engineer Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in a Test Engineer role, focusing on testing new software baselines and assisting with software and hardware installations at remote sites.
- Security Clearance Requirement: Must hold a current TS/SCI clearance to be eligible for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Cyber Operations Training and DevOps.
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools such as Splunk, SecurityOnion, Nessus, and Wireshark.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence.
- Expertise in hardware troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
- Proficiency in virtualization.
- Knowledge of Linux is a plus.

Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
