Description
The Physician's Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - PHP & Interventional Services will engage with patients in the Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Interventional Services programs to provide medical services for patients under the supervision of a Psychiatrist.
This part-time position will be based in our Nashville clinic with a schedule of 5PM-8PM on Monday and Wednesday.
- Perform physical examinations and elicit detailed, accurate patient histories.
- Assist in prescribing therapeutic plans and treatments.
- Assist with short term and long term patient care needs.
- Oversee patients undergoing Spravato treatments in clinic.
- Document services provided in the electronic medical record (EMR) consistent with standards of practice, internal policies of Athena Care, and HIPAA or other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain appropriate licensure, supervision, and continuing education requirements in a manner consistent with standards of practice.
- Maintains knowledge of current standards of care and research in the field; applies knowledge to improve practice and provision of care.
- Adheres to appropriate practice guidelines and scope of practice in provision of care.
- Must be eligible to participate in commercial Insurance networks and Medicare.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Master's degree in Nursing or PA Studies from an accredited program required.
- Current, valid APRN or PA license issued by the state of TN required.
- Current, valid DEA registration required.
- Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and current treatment options/best practices.
