Marathon is seeking a Sr.RPG Programmer Analyst to join our mainframe team with a client in Gainesville, GA.

This is a long-term contract engagement.

Specific skills needed: Heavy RPG programming, MQ on the AS400, RPG, Very Strong SQL, Socket Programming

Manufacturing/Shop floor experience a plus

Primary responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise in RPG programming to develop and maintain robust applications in AS400.
  • nalyze, design, and implement software solutions as it relates to internal ERP application enhancements which could include:
    • General Ledger - BPCS CEA (Configurable Enterprise Accounting)
    • ccounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
    • GUI - BPCS Graphical user interface to the financial applications GL/AP/AR.
    • Supporting sales team on billing and exchange rate reconciliations.
    • Month end and year end for the financial applications.

Qualifications:
  • 10 years of AS/400, RPG programming experience
  • General LX/BPCS knowledge
  • Experience supporting GL/AP/AR
  • Experience supporting physical inventory planning.
  • Needs to have a good technical background for the AS400, RPG and the AS400 query tool, SQL helpful but not required.
  • Must be able to write clear concise documents and designs.
  • Must be able to debug programs using the AS400 debugging tools.
  • Experience communicating at all levels, technical, user, manager, and executive.
  • Will be a team leader and supervise programmers and must be able to perform the QC function for each project.
  • Must be flexible in nature and able to manage multiple tasks at one time while working in a demanding user-based environment.
