We are looking for a Home Healthcare Medical Technician to join our team. This role involves conducting physical exams, diagnostic tests, and treatments under the direction of a virtual healthcare provider. A strong focus on patient care, organization, and customer service is essential. Training will be provided for this exciting opportunity to deliver hospital-level healthcare in the comfort of a patient's home.
Responsibilities:
- Driving to meet patients at their location and loading/unloading supplies
- Wearing appropriate PPE and following infection prevention measures
- Communicating with healthcare providers via video conference
- Obtaining vital signs and collecting patient data
- Conducting physical exams and diagnostic tests as directed
- Performing point-of-care lab testing
- Preparing discharge instructions
- Responsible for equipment use, care, and allocation
- Restocking and cleaning equipment at the end of the shift
- Other duties as assigned to complete visits and maintain equipment and vehicles
Requirements:
- EMT certification with NREMT, or EMT-B in good standing, OR Paramedic OR Medical Assistant OR Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Minimum one year of patient-facing experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- BLS, American Heart Association
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
- Strong customer service, communication, and technological skills
- Ability to work a varied schedule with evenings, holidays, and weekends required
