Your Mission

  • You will support production assembly lines to troubleshoot and repair flight
  • You will support first level of FAL engineering to disposition standard production anomalies and provide repairs direction.
  • You will support the implementation of any change on the FAL, coming from flight / ground design or processes changes.
  • You will support the definition and implementation of MGSE
  • You will run the Maintenance/Calibrations of the means under your teams
  • You will support 3D measurements

Your Day-to-Day

  • Support the production engineers and technicians on all topics concerning the manufacturing and assembly of flight hardware.
  • Develop a working knowledge about manufacturing processes, satellite configurations, and manufacturing process requirements (i.e. work instructions, non-conformances, rework procedures, hardware drawing and requirements, etc.).
  • Support the setup and configuration of the production.

This position reports to the Mechanical/Automation Manufacturing Manager and is based in Merritt Island, Florida, USA. Full on-site presence required.

Your Profile

  • Associate's Degree + 2 years' experience or High School + 5 years' experience
  • Hands-on experience with hardware handling, repairs and power tools
  • Experience working in a clean room environment, understanding of precision cleaning and of the handling/maintaining of clean hardware/systems.
  • Must be able to review and understand both written and electronic procedures and technical documents in English. Verbal French or Spanish a plus.
  • Strong commitment at work

Physical Demand

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. Based on the position an employee is occasionally required to stand for an extended period of time; walk; reach above shoulders; and stoop, kneel, bend, twist or crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision.
