POSITION SUMMARY Provides all operational support as part of the Radiology Support Team to facilitate and coordinate workflow for the radiologists in a large, multi-specialty physician healthcare organization Hours: M-F, Rotating hours of 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Eastern Standard Time) with some weekend work as needed. This position can be either a hybrid remote or for those living in Maine, New Hampshire, and/or Massachusetts, or it can be fully on-site. Training on-site in South Portland, Maine is required. We will train the right candidate. Based on experience and qualifications the average hourly compensation for this position will range from $20.00 - $22.00. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Manage addendum requests, report corrections, and tracking to ensure completion Support radiologists by communicating and documenting STAT, Unexpected and Critical Finding through our One Connect System Maintain and create documentation that support the radiologist’s workflow Interact with Teleradiology vendors to ensure final reads and to troubleshoot, when necessary Expedite stat read requests received from our sites of service and notify appropriate Radiologists assigned to read Provide timely communication of system issues or other workflows that may impact the Radiologist’s day Work with various sites of service PACS systems to assist radiologists with workflow, system failures, and delays in dictations, and create specialized worklists Monitor report turnaround times; report delays to ensure final reports are generated in a timely fashion Request prior comparison films and reports for radiologists Import prior imaging and reports for comparison purposes Collate and request necessary information for radiologist protocolling Promptly facilitate physician-to-physician communication via phone PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Answer, triage and transfer incoming calls appropriately Respond to voicemails and e-mails promptly Frequent interaction with medical professionals and administrative staff at various facilities Maintain appropriate level of Company and HIPAA-related confidentiality Provides excellent customer service to Radiologists and sites of service Attends meetings as assigned and participate in educational activities to keep skills up to date Displays cooperative behavior and interacts positively and effectively with others to promote a team environment Performs other duties necessary to maintain the overall efficiency and continuity of the department Is proactive in identifying, reporting and participating in the resolution of any potential or safety issues Demonstrate professionalism at all times Ensures adherence to Company policies and procedures for related activities QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge of medical terminology Experience in radiological setting helpful Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to communicate time-sensitive medical information clearly and accurately to referring offices, ED Staff and other medical professionals Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft office Word, Excel, Access, Specialized computer software -PACS, QDoc, EPIC, Power Scribe 360 Pacs Scan and Qgenda helpful Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with employees at all levels of the organization Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to maintain confidentiality PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT Daily operation of various office based equipment: fax machine, telephone & voice mail operating system, desktop/laptop computer, e-mail system, cell phone, pager, copier May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time May spend extended periods operating desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; and communicating face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing Light lifting of paperwork, folders or other general record-keeping materials, bending, stretching BENEFITS Health Insurance (80% company paid) Health Savings Account (Company Match: $3,000 family plan / $1625 individual plan) Dental & Vision Insurance Plans 401(k) Match and Profit-Sharing Plan Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (company paid) Long-term Disability Insurance (company paid) Short-term Disability Insurance (company paid) Generous paid time off Voluntary, Employee-Paid Benefits Medical Reimbursement Plan Dependent Care Plan Powered by JazzHR
