The Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (SICU and Neuro ICU) is seeking a Critical Care Nurse to provide specialized care to critically ill adult patients. This role involves monitoring, ventilator management, and treatment of complex conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, and multi-trauma.
The nurse will be responsible for administering medications, implementing physician orders, and collaborating with the nursing team to create a plan of care for all patients. Additionally, the nurse must possess excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Knowledge of quality improvement concepts
