Dental Hygienist (RDH) Virginia Family Dentistry is looking for Part-Time (1-3 days) Hygienists to join both our Atlee, Huguenot, Ironbridge, Powhatan, and Tri-Cities locations in the greater Richmond , Virginia area _ Please note that the locations listed in this requisition are Full-time positions only but we have other greater Richmond area locations available for Part-time and Temporary positions._

We are accepting applications from Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) in the state of Virginia _AND_ recent hygiene school graduates awaiting licensure. Please indicate your expected license date when applying. Typical work hours 8am-5pm.
For 50 years, Virginia Family Dentistry has been proudly providing safe, quality dental care to the greater Richmond area. We are a private dentist-owned practice with more than 450+ employees, 16 locations, and over 60+ general dentists and dental specialists. _Although we are a large, our individual locations have their own personality, pace, and style. As your life and schedule changes, you can find the right office and location to meet your needs_
At Virginia Family Dentistry, our hygienists are held to a high-quality standard in all aspects of dental care. They are all team players, manage time efficiently, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Hygienist role will effectively deliver care in a way that ensures patient satisfaction and improves oral health. The hygienist provides ongoing care through education, treatment, reinforcement of doctor's treatment plans, and by diligently following Virginia Family Dentistry's Standard of Care. Although our hygienists manage an efficient and productive schedule, Virginia Family Dentistry does not ask Hygienists to sell specific products to patients.
Clinical Requirements

CPR certified (American Heart Association, Basic Life Support for healthcare providers)
High degree of skill with hand instrumentation and ultrasonic inserts
Experience in digital radiographs and Dentrix Enterprise electronic patient records preferred
Scaling and Root planing
Certified to administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. If needed, Virginia Family Dentistry will compensate for certification and continued learning

Virginia Family Dentistry aims to be an active partner in the communities we serve. Our offices collectively do hundreds of sponsorships, participate in local health fairs, visit schools, and aid in donation drives throughout the year.
