Job description

LPN/ Surgical Technician Surgical Office

Ideal candidate will have the minimum experience of 1 year working in a Surgical practice or Outpatient Facility and assisted with procedures.

All candidates will be able to:

Room and correctly identify patients, prepare patients for examination including; taking vital signs and documenting EMR charts with all patient concerns, signs and symptoms

Verify that patient EMR charts are updated promptly and accurately which includes: checking for all test results and required forms prior to exam. Additional responsibilities include assisting physicians and/or nurse practitioner with patient examinations, treatments, injections or procedures.

Be able to prepare solutions for injections

Ensures all instruments and supplies are available before any surgery

Prepare and assist in procedure room(s)with equipment, instruments and supplies with sterile technique

Ensure safe and sterile environment for surgical procedures

Help to monitor and position patients during surgical procedures.

Travel to satellite offices weekly and perform assigned duties, with travel reimbursement

Complies with Policies and Procedures, and adheres to safety guidelines to ensure a safe work and patient care environment

Perform other related duties as assigned

Must be a team player

License/Certification:

BLS Certification (Preferred)

LPN Certification, (Required)
