TITLE: Assistant Transportation Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:

  6. Familiarity with Computers
  7. Ability to Deal Effectively with Various Members of the Educational Community, Parents, Private Contractors and the General Public
REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Transportation or Departmental Administrator

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist in the daily operation of the Transportation Department
  2. Enter and edit student data/routing in transportation database (i.e. Logig54)
  3. Prepare routes for MOESC Contractual Districts Special Ed, Temporary,
Vocational, Public and Non Public students (review, create, design the most efficient
routes possible) based on school schedules and applicable laws.
  1. Daily contact with member districts/contractors/parents/receiving schools via telephone/fax/e-mail to ensure proper operation of transportation program and problem solving
  2. Prepare bids/renewals/quotes
  3. Create student information reports for districts and schools; update frequently
  4. Maintain an accurate and current filing system
  5. Create and mail bus passes
  6. Accident reporting
  7. Handling of student incident reports with districts and receiving schools to ensure action is taken when necessary
  8. Attend annual meetings (non-public county meeting, non-public calendar meeting, transportation meetings when requested)
  9. Investigation of compliance - contractors' drivers and aides with Criminal History Review Unit and Motor Vehicle Commission
  10. Maintain confidentiality
  11. Flexibility in learning new tasks and assignments
  12. Perform all other duties as assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time, Twelve Months

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provision of the MOESC's board's policy on evaluation of non-certified personnel.
