JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking an Oracle EBS DBA for a 6M C2H opportunity that is located in Addison, TX 75001 (onsite 3-days per week [T / W / Th]).  The Oracle EBS DBA will be involved in advanced administration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle EBS applications. The Oracle EBS DBA will ensure high availability, performance tuning, managing complex integrations, and providing technical leadership to the development teams.
  • Install / Configure / Upgrade Oracle EBS R12x Applications
  • Setup / Maintain Multiple EBS Instances Across Development / Testing / Production Environments
  • Administer Oracle Databases Supporting Oracle EBS Applications on Exadata Platforms
  • Perform Advanced Database Maintenance – Complex Backups / Patching / Upgrades
  • Monitor / Optimize Application / Database Performance on Exadata Platforms
  • Utilize Exadata-Specific Features / Tools – Achieving Maximum Performance
  • Perform Advanced Performance Tuning / Optimization – Oracle Databases / Oracle EBS Applications
  • Utilize Performance Monitoring Tools / Technologies – Proactively Identify / Resolve Performance Bottlenecks
  • Provide Expert-Level Oracle EBS Technical Application Support
  • Troubleshoot / Resolve Complex Issues – Application Performance / Security / Functionality
  • Collaborate with Application Developers – Support New Features / Enhancements / Stakeholders
  • Work Closely with Infrastructure Teams – Ensure Database Systems Run Smoothly / Securely / Efficiently
  • Work Closely with Oracle Support Teams to Resolve Critical Issues
  • Implement / Manage HA Solutions – Oracle RAC / Active DataGuard, etc.
  • Develop / Test Disaster Recovery Plans – Ensure Data Integrity / Business Continuity
  • Ensure Security / Integrity / Availability of Oracle EBS Applications / Databases
  • Implement / Manage Advanced Security Measures – Encryption / Auditing
  • Monitor / Address Security Vulnerabilities / Compliance Requirements
  • Manage User Access / Permissions in Accordance with Policies / Standards / Regulatory Requirements
  • Apply Patches / Updates to Oracle EBS Applications / Databases
  • Conduct Thorough Testing – Ensure System Stability / Reliability Post-Patching / Upgradation
  • Manage Complex Integrations Between Oracle EBS and Other Enterprise Applications
  • Ensure Seamless Data Flow / Interoperability Between Systems
  • Maintain Detailed Documentation od Database / Exadata Configurations / Procedures / Changes
  • Generate / Analyze Reports on System Performance / Capacity Planning / Health
  • Provide Leadership / Technical Guidance to DBAs / Development Teams
  • Conduct Training Sessions / Share Best Practices for Oracle EBS Administration
  • Participate in Ongoing Training / Professional Development Opportunities
  • Proactively Seek Opportunities to Improve Efficiency / Effectiveness of Oracle EBS Systems

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Oracle DBA (7+ years) – Database Architecture / Performance Tuning / Backup and Recovery, etc.
  • Oracle EBS DBA (5+ years) – Oracle EBS R12.1 / R12.2 | Financials / HRMS / Supply Chain Modules, etc.
  • Oracle Exadata Machine X-Series – Hardware / Storage Architecture (Flash / Hard Disk) / Software Integration / Scalability and Flexibility / Advanced Features (Automatic Storage Management / DB Compression / Encryption)
  • PL/SQL / SQL Scripting / Shell Scripting – Performance Tune / Troubleshoot Scripts

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure / Services
