Plant Operations Director Opportunity

Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 145-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a 50-bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. The Plant Operations Director is responsible for supervising skilled and semi-skilled workers, managing personnel involved in security and safety, and assisting in the maintenance of buildings and grounds.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Receive and oversee work orders from various departments; check building periodically denoting equipment needing repairs, or repairs needed on building and grounds; receive work orders for minor building renovation, remodeling, or minor building construction projects
  • Plan work schedules; assist and ensure that the maintenance of the building and grounds are repaired and kept clean; ensure work is completed in a timely manner
  • Perform or supervise preventive maintenance and maintain all records on utilities and equipment items; coordinate all activities with outside vendor contracts; ensure continued facility operations in event of power outages, work stoppage, and/or loss of communication

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Special training in skilled trades
  • Minimum of three years related experience
