Job Description:

At Regions, the Real Estate Market Intelligence Analyst (REMIA) enhances shareholder value by performing a thorough market analysis of the market and the bank's real estate position within the market as part of our enhanced due diligence work for Corporate Real Estate. REMIA are responsible for staying abreast of market activity and trends along with continually review and analyze data sources to properly assess the supply and demand drivers of assigned markets and potential real estate projects. REMIA works collaboratively with Real Estate professionals across all sectors to provide insight and recommendations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assesses real estate projects' position with their respective markets utilizing all available tools

  • Understands the methodologies used by data providers as the basis for differentiating between and applying data and forecasts

  • Investigates, utilizes, and collaborates with additional Commercial Real Estate data sources as a research professional

  • Develops and maintains working relationships with internal and external parts to obtain market insight

  • Produces market analysis reports to support the underwriting assumptions recommended to the Real Estate Banking Relationship Team and Real Estate Credit

  • Presents insights and recommendations during deal team discussions

  • Performs additional duties and/or projects as needed

  • Stays abreast of real estate market trends and share as appropriate for assigned markets.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or GIS

  • One (1) year of experience in real estate industry analysis/research, commercial banking or equivalent

  • Proficient with data research tools such as CoStar, Reis, Real Page, etc.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability and willingness to take initiative, assume responsibility, and drive results

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc)

  • Effective verbal and written communications skills

  • Intellectually curious and adaptable

  • Proficient research and analytical skills

  • Understands the balance between speed and quality

  • In addition to market research, the ideal candidate will possess strong data analytics skills and have the ability to build models and dashboards using Excel and PowerBI

  • This role will build and maintain market models as needed using Excel, Power BI, and ArcGIS

  • Strong data analytics skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerBI with the ability to build and maintain models and dashboards that support the group is preferred

  • Coursework/experience in real estate industry analysis/research, commercial banking or equivalent is preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as experience or familiarity with ArcGIS is preferred

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$54,211.30 USD

Median:

$71,800.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
