The role you’ll contribute: The Respiratory Therapist, practicing under the clinical direction of the physicians and administrative direction of the Practice Leader, provides appropriate care, evaluation and treatment for patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders. The value you’ll bring to the team: Administers breathing and oxygen procedures such as nebulizer treatments Prepares and tests devices used such as pulmonary equipment, breathing devices and oxygen supply Sets equipment controls to regulate the flow of oxygen and gases Administers prescribed medications & treatments; documents appropriately and completely Assesses patients’ response to treatments and modifies treatment if necessary; monitors patients during treatments and reports any unusual reactions to physician or appropriate staff members Maintains medication safely by monitoring refrigerator and freezer temperatures and dating multi-dose vials when opened; ensures that no expired medications are available for use Cleans, sterilizes, checks and maintains respiratory therapy equipment The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Minimum requirements: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Current, valid license, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Active Membership, National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Current CPR/BLS Preferred qualifications: Medical office experience This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
