SUMMARY: Looking for a Test Engineer to perform System Test and Evaluation on FAA Air Traffic Control Voice Switching System and Equipment. This is a large complex communications system vital to air traffic operations and safety. The position interfaces with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and is the point of contact to provide technical expertise on system hardware upgrades and software configuration management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Experience developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Developing and executing test procedures to verify requirements. Writing/editing/debugging test productivity tools and other duties as required. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Defect Tracking systems, for example Redmine, Jira, etc. Writing, revising, reviewing, and executing System Test Plans and Procedures to ensure system under test meets all defined requirements. Evaluate and test software using various testing techniques to verify functionality and performance according to specifications and requirements. Collaborate with functional and development teams to define and analyze test artifacts. Analyze test artifacts to identify system problems and options for improving the effectiveness of the test procedures. Preferred: Familiar with virtualization software Field support and Telecommunications system maintenance experience is a plus. Experience in providing HW CM support.
