Our Financials Systems Analyst position may be for you The Financial Services Technology Bureau (SABHRS Financials & IBARS) is looking for an analyst with experience in accounting, budgeting, business analysis, or systems analysis, and who is also customer-focused and enthusiastic about working in a constantly evolving technology landscape. We are team-oriented professionals that collaborate with our stakeholders to evaluate current business processes and IT systems to provide technology solutions and enhancements in a PeopleSoft/SABHRS Financials and IBARS environment. The Financials Systems Analyst is responsible for: • Overseeing the installation, configuration, and testing for new, existing, or modified PeopleSoft modules. • Focusing on meeting the business needs of our stakeholders. • Testing components to determine system performance. • Trouble-shooting system issues. • Providing solutions to the State’s business process issues. • Conducting research about existing and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and efficiencies. • Technical support and project management. /In this position you will be afforded the opportunity to telework, however there will be required weekly in office day(s) in Helena. Specific conditions will be outlined as part of the job offer and must adhere to state policy./ What are we looking for? Competencies: • Knowledge of financial, budget and accounting business processes and practices. • Knowledge of principles, practices and procedures associated with the design, development, and support of computer financial applications. • Knowledge of MS Office software products and ability to learn new tools quickly. • Use analyses and judgment to make decisions to solve complex problems. • Understand system data integrity and apply information security standards. • Identify and consider possible alternatives before making decisions. • Find effective solutions while considering short-term and long-term impact. • Work independently and as part of a team. • Follow policies, procedures, and industry standards. • Build constructive and effective relationships with internal and external customers. • Understand personal authority and when to escalate issues. • Generate ideas and fresh perspectives and engage in open-minded thinking. • Adapt to changing conditions and work responsibilities. • Display optimism about assigned work, share expertise, and respond positively to challenges. • Provides leadership and/or mentors in areas of knowledge that will help others. • Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and to both technical and non-technical people. Education and Experience: • A Bachelor’s degree in a business, computer science or related field and two years applicable experience. OR • An Associate’s degree in business, computer science or related field and four years applicable experience. AND • Familiarity with SABHRS Financials or IBARS would be a plus, or prior in-depth experience in an Enterprise Resource Planning or Accounting/Budgeting system. OR • Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Does this sound like you?
