Senior Associate, Database Systems Engineer

  1. Design, engineer, install, test, analyze, monitor, and performance tune ReadyCap Commercial LLC's financial lending database in order to interpret and ensure efficiency, performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability amongst customer user data marts, metadata, data hierarchies, and database analysis systems
  2. Develop, create, and write database queries, develop database reports, code logical and physical database descriptions and scripts, and establish end-to-end data pipelines for extraction/transformation/loading processes using computer software programs such as Python, MySQL, Shell Scripting, AWS, and Oracle BI in order to meet the unique user needs within production, asset management, investor accounting, and senior management teams
  3. Lead the overall performance of data loads and data mappings, including the Key Performance Indicators at a team and individual contributor level
  4. Administer, monitor, and ensure customer financial data and other business data is secure and that database backup recovery systems are regularly evaluated and tested to prevent data loss and data breach
  5. Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to the asset management, investor accounting, and senior management teams as well as build and maintain multi-dimensional self-serve data-access documentation for users
  6. Diagnose and monitor database performance, recommend and implement multi-faceted architectural changes, and apply new patches and versions when required while ensuring unplanned database downtime is minimized
  7. Develop and oversee database policies, procedures, and standards for all users and identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems specifically designed for financial institutions
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems is required (a Foreign Educational Equivalent is acceptable). Also required is 18 months of experience as a Software Engineer, Data Analyst, or Database Engineer. Education or experience (which may have been gained concurrently) must include at least 12 months of demonstrated ability in utilizing the following computer software programs: Python; Shell Scripting; Oracle BI; AWS; and MySQL. This position requires only little domestic travel.

$102,125.00 per year is the wage for this position. The place of employment is at ReadyCap Commercial LLC's headquarters at 1251 Avenue of the Americas, 50th Floor, New York, New York 10020; however, ReadyCap Commercial LLC will allow telecommuting from any residence location in the United States to perform work exclusively from such residence location.
