Reports to: Sr. Manager, Quality
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE: Supports Quality Engineers and technicians with process improvements and documentation development for Quality Testing activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Functional & Technical Skills
- Support development and improvement of standardized start-up and test documentation, including final reporting documentation.
- Includes understanding of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to conduct tests and record test data.
- Observe and participate in actual test conditions outlined within to validate documentation.
- Make recommendations and collaborate with engineering and technical personnel to validate documentation, requirements, and risk mitigation plans.
- Prepare status reports to monitor progress in achieving documentation objectives.
- The individual must perform tests independently and as directed by staff engineers.
- May Interface with Suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to drive Quality improvements that minimize the costs of quality, specifically Incoming rejects, failures, and factory defects.
Education: The individual must be pursuing a 4-year degree in Business, Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and shall have achieved junior status or higher.
- >3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale). Currently, a full-time student, junior status or higher pursuing a Bachelor's in Supply Chain/Operations Management, or related business discipline. The individual shall also have completed the "core" coursework for his/her chosen discipline.
- Strong initiative and ability to in teams and individually without direct supervision.
- Proficient in basic computer programs/business software: Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required for interaction with manufacturing personnel, engineering, and management.
- Must be willing to relocate in commutable distance to Hamel, MN from approximately May-August 2025 and able to work for a minimum of 11 weeks.

- Can tolerate variable and sometimes challenging conditions during visits or inspections of company equipment in a railroad environment.
