Position Summary:

  • Provide safe, direct patient care in the ambulatory setting and offer clinical leadership and mentorship to staff.
  • Assume relief charge duties when designated and ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Administer medications, assist physicians with procedures, and conduct patient education for all age groups.
  • Participate in orientation and evaluation of new personnel and initiate any necessary emergency measures for patients.
  • Ensure patient safety-related policies, procedures, and protocols are followed and reported promptly.

Qualifications

  • Education: Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience: 3 years directly related experience (preferred)
  • Credentials: CPR for Healthcare/BLS Certification, RN in NM or reciprocal agreement
  • Physical Conditions: Heavy Work, Physical Demand requirements in excess of those for Medium Work
  • Working conditions: Significant hazard requiring personal protective equipment
