- Base wage of $17.75:

  • Tues, Wed, Thurs

- Base wage of $18.25:

  • Wed, Fri, Sat
  • Thurs, Fri, Sat

You'll be onsite, fostering genuine connections with youth while advocating for their growth. Day to day as a Direct Support Professional

At Hills & Dales Child Development Center, we are on the lookout for passionate Direct Support Professionals who are eager to make a profound impact in the lives of children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. In this dynamic role, you will provide essential personal care services, including bathing, toileting, and hygiene support, while ensuring safety through proper lifting with the aid of supportive equipment. You'll play a key role in documenting client progress toward personal goals, communicating effectively with teams to enhance our clients' experiences, and monitoring their health and wellness. Additionally, you will accompany clients on exciting outings, support work-skills development, and help them express their emotions constructively.

With your advocacy and resourcefulness, you'll create a supportive environment that fosters well-being while closely following detailed dietary instructions and identifying potential hazards. Join us in our mission to build meaningful lives

Requirements for this Direct Support Professional

To thrive as a Direct Support Professional at Hills & Dales Child Development Center, a strong alignment with our mission and a demonstrated concern for others are essential. You should possess the ability to assertively communicate and advocate for clients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. Reliable attendance and punctuality are crucial, as consistency plays a vital role in building trust and stability for those you support. Physical fitness is also key; candidates must be capable of lifting up to 35 lbs when assisting clients.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver's license to facilitate outings and appointments. Additionally, successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screen, and driving record check will ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
