Job Functions:

Production Assembler 300 is expected to check and verify completeness quality assurance (QA) of product descriptions and quantities against Work Orders, Sales Orders, and Production Reports. A Production 300 level employee works closely with production leadership team and is expected to work productively and efficiently as a Mentor to less experienced employees with direct or minimal supervision. Required to interpret operation sheets, understand

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) procedures, and complete documentation as necessary including e-mails. Expectations are also to complete transactions in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) reporting system including Transfers of Component Parts. A Production 300 Level employee is expected to maintain high standards of productivity and efficiencies in all assigned areas at all times. May also be assigned to work in other areas of the department, while maintaining high standards of 5S, quality and flexibility. Inspects all aspects of component parts prior to use in these areas, detects and reports defects in workmanship and/or material per company procedures, while maintaining inventory of the assigned area. Must maintain a positive attitude and good attendance.

Qualifications

Job Duties and Responsibilities includes the following:

  • Assembles products using documented procedures, operation sheets, blueprints, bill of material (BOM)
  • Safely operates basic hand tools or air tools to assist in the assembly operation
  • Organization of component parts, tools in accordance with training provided
  • Fastens parts together using nuts, bolts, screws, sealants, or other fasteners
  • Tests finished products using test sink and/or test fixture, test pit or test gauge with air or water. Tests for proper function of products per specifications
  • Packs tested product for shipment including all component parts and information per bill of material (BOM)
  • Works at an acceptable rate of speed (routings) using proper techniques (Lean Manufacturing, Single Piece Flow) to build a quality product
  • Must be able to work in a team environment efficiently and possess the ability to work independently
  • Must continually maintain good attitude, flexibility in work assignments and have good attendance
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience related to the desired position.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math and Reasoning Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability for common sense thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in verbal, written, or diagram form. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances to accommodate production schedules.

  • Regularly carry, move, and transport objects or boxes up to 10 pounds; frequently carry, move, and transport objects or boxes up to 25 pounds; and occasionally carry, move, and transport objects or boxes up to 50 pounds.
  • Have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus to perform job functions and job duties.
  • Occasionally ascends or descends, works atop, around, and underneath equipment used in the production process
