Description: Performs sensory, physical, and chemical tests on finished products to assure they meet established specifications. Evaluates Bill of Material (BOM) for completeness and proper documentation. Records test data and maintains laboratory work list in LIMS system to assure timely release of finished products. Reports nonconformance with immediate corrective actions in LIMS system. Performs required inspection for manufacturing equipment, storage equipment, and sanitation cleaning. Participates in check sample program with outside institution(s) and in internal proficiency program to verify accuracy. Follows proper GMPs and GLPs. Uses proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary. Assists with Raw Material testing, COA review, and COA filing as needed. Inspect Finished Product Packaging to ensure label and configurations are correct. Approve and apply final wrap with automated equipment. Practicing laboratory skills such as: moisture testing, surface color testing, UV-Vis, HPLC, antioxidant testing, microbiology testing, and displacement testing. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors of science degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Biology Associates of science degree AND industry experience focused in food science Industry experience working inside of a laboratory environment Ability to read and comprehend instructions Ability to communicate with individuals and small groups Ability to write correspondence About Actalent Actalent connects passion with purpose.
