The job description for an Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent at Streamline Industrial Group includes the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrician Superintendent to lead our team in executing various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage and coordinate tasks efficiently. The Electrician Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems while ensuring adherence to code, safety standards and project schedules.

Responsibilities:

· Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of electricians.

· Schedule and allocate tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.

· Promote and enforce a culture of safety on job sites, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.

· Plan and orchestrate daily JSA meetings. Enforce/Follow all PPE mandates.

· Read and interpret electrical drawings/plans. Generate RFI’s when applicable.

· Pre-plan materials and generate material requests.

· Coordinate material deliveries, site handling, storage, inspection, inventory, and placement of materials and equipment on the job site.

· If requested, schedule and attend any job site meetings with the Owner, General Contractor, Engineer, other trades etc.

· Generate Daily Reports that accurately capture daily performance onsite.

· Inform the Construction Manager or Project Manager of any job site problems.

· Update and complete Redline/As-build drawings that accurately note any deviations between plans and actual construction.

· Identifying potential change orders and getting that info to your PM for processing.

· Ensure projects are completed on time, on schedule and within budget.

· Provide guidance and training to junior members to ensure the team's skill development and performance. · Hours vary per job however 50-60 hours per week should be expected.

Quality Assurance:

· Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of electrical work.

· Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during projects.

· Work with local agencies when required to schedule and perform building inspections.

Safety Compliance:

· Enforce and promote a culture of safety within the team.

· Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.

· Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to keep the team informed about best practices.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role (Superintendent or General Foreman) in the electrical industry.

· Active TX (or applicable state) Journeyman license.

· In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards.

· Strong leadership and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

· Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment and tools.

· Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Proficient Computer skills with: MS outlooks, MS excel, MS word, Bluebeam or Adobe, Procore.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: -This is a full-time position, Monday – Saturday 7am – 5:30pm.
